    Wish You Were Here

By Craig Hindman on 2 February 2012

I was reflecting this week about how my mindset can often be like – “HEY EVERYONE, I’M UP HERE ON MOUNT HOLY, I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE! COME ON UP THE WEATHER’S FINE!”

    One Thing Well

By Craig Hindman on 20 January 2012

Your value in a team first and foremost comes from you investing in those things you’re good at, and bringing the best of that to the table. I realised at college that the reason everyone at College was a better guitarist than me was because they spent every spare waking hour practicing their guitar. Duh! They didn’t divide their time between learning Guitar and trying to figure out how this ‘internet thing’ worked. They weren’t out taking photos, learning photoshop or pulling things apart and putting them back together with less screws…

    2nd Violin

By Craig Hindman on 18 January 2012

Here’s two friends completely sold out to the plans God had prepared in advance for each of them to do. John the Baptist knew his purpose for living was to herald the coming of the Messiah. He knew his calling was to be in many respects, 2nd violin. It just so happened that 1st violin – the soloist, was to be his cousin – Jesus!

    2 Chances a Year!

By Craig Hindman on 12 December 2011

Apparently over 60% of the probable 2500 people we will see across our 7 Christmas services this year will be categorised as either non-regular church goers or those who are affectionately known as C & E’s. Twice a year. Christmas and Easter. People who give themselves 2 chances a year to hear the gospel message invade an otherwise secularised holiday season. An otherwise secularised lifestyle.

    Delegation

By Craig Hindman on 2 November 2011

The danger most leaders face when delegating is not that we fail to delegate tasks, but that we fail to delegate trust.

    A.D.D.

By Craig Hindman on 26 October 2011

It’s not a sin to strive to grab people’s imagination through creative expression – to hold their attention long enough to inject truth into their veins, stimulate their hearts and inspire them to be more like Jesus. It just requires so much more effort to do it these days amidst all the other blinding lights.

    BLOOD PRESSURE

By Craig Hindman on 15 October 2011

Man I love it when people get creative in ways I’ve not seen before. Mutemath always do amazing film clips for their singles. This is the best one I recon. All week this week I see iTunes are giving this video away for free. Put it on your phone and inspire your friends :)

    My Mum & My Car

By Craig Hindman on 7 October 2011

Everytime we approach the platform at church, we need to drain ourselves of us, and let God fill us so he can use us effectively. The most Godly people I’ve ever met are also the most humble, and as you grow in intimacy with God, the humility with which you live should grow hand in hand.

    Great Comedy

By Craig Hindman on 6 October 2011

I like to analyze good comedy. I know I’m supposed to just relax and have a good chuckle, but there’s an art to comedy that i recon parallels our Christian walk and I think it’s only fair I help you draw the long bow with me…

    The Art of Silence

By Craig Hindman on 1 October 2011

One of my lecturers at College used to make us set up our instruments and just stand there for 45 mins while everyone else played. It was his little way of getting me used to being in a band and not playing.

    Culture Shift

By Craig Hindman on 21 September 2011

Now when I talk about culture, I’m not talking V-Necks, iPads and Beanies. I’m talking about values, moral frameworks, disciplines and practices that hold us to a higher standard than the world would. A standard God calls us to. [ Read more... ]
